What is a house call?

A physician will travel to a patient’s hotel, home
or other place of lodging and provide medical care. A wide
variety of illnesses and injuries can now be safely and
cost effectively managed at home.
What do house call physicians treat?
Symptoms caused by altitute illness, throat, ear, sinus
and bladder infections, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration,
sunburn, stings, bites, rashes bronchitis, pneumonia, as
well as minor painful injuries such as lacerations, sprains
and back strains.
What services are available?
• Rapid testing for Strep, RSV, influenza A & B & 02 saturation.
• Oxygen & aero-meds
• Intravenous fluids
• Medications for pain & infection
• Splinting for sprains
• Suturing for minor wounds
What does a house call cost?
The minimal pediatric charge is $295.00 adult $325.00.
Additional charges will apply for pharmaceuticals, treatments
and testing.
Is health insurance accepted?
No. However, ResortMed physicians will prepare the necessary
forms for possible future re-imbursement. The amount reimbursed
may depend on deductible and co-payment provisions.

How long will it take?
The usual response time is 30-45 minutes. A typical house
call will require an additional one hour.
